CRP attends McMaster’s Community Engaged Research (CER) Day
On March 28, 2024, the Community Research Platform (CRP) participated in the inaugural Community-Engaged Research (CER) Day, hosted by the Office of Community Engagement (OCE). The event, which brought together Hamilton community partners, university staff, students, and faculty, included informal networking time, an interactive community-engaged research project showcase and a workshop on ethical challenges in community-engaged research. The Research shop, Sherman Centre and SPARK provided rapid research support services to those with queries.
As part of the project showcase, the CRP was excited to host a booth. We shared information about the CRP’s purpose, goals, and impact. Also, several project teams were on site to talk about their specific collaborative CER projects. Even some of our graduate student interns and Experience Venture placement students were on site to talk about their experiences engaging in meaningful CER projects with CRP partners.
The CRP looks forward to continuing to advance ethical and impactful community engaged research and to future opportunities to showcase and build on these efforts with campus and community partners.
