Support for Research and Knowledge Mobilization
The CRP offers a suite of supports for community-engaged research and knowledge mobilization between faculty, students and our platform partners. We help to:
- Initiate, build, and sustain relationships between researchers and platform partners
- Broker, catalyze and incubate new research partnerships and projects
- Develop MOUs, partnership agreements, data management templates, etc.
- Support grant applications such as SSHRC’s Research Partnership and Mitacs
- Leverage financial and in-kind resources from university and community sources
- Mobilize students to support research collaborations, and mobilize funding for students (e.g. CER Grad Internship Program, Mitacs, etc.)
- Facilitate integrated knowledge mobilization
- Leverage partner networks to deepen and broaden the impact of research results
- Nourish cultures of research at partners organizations, and community engagement among researchers.
- Support instructors in developing and executing experiential learning opportunities
We also collaborate with other Offices, Programs, Research Platforms, Centres, and Institutes at McMaster to leverage expertise, resources, and capacity and to advance McMaster’s role as a community-engaged university.
